Hightider: the Fishening

It is the year 2024.

Strange beings from beyond the stars have descended to Earth, seeking to claim the planet and remold it in their image. They have bestowed gifts to a handful of fish, the Earth creatures they deem most deserving. These fish must defeat each other in combat, absorbing their foes' lifeforces and battle prowess as one by one they fall. The last fish swimming receives the honor of leading the alien army in glorious conquest across the globe.

Hightider is a role-playing game of fishy combat, best experienced with 2-6 players.

One player takes the role of Tide Raiser or TR, who narrates circumstances and challenges to the rest of the group. The rest of the players play Fishblades, sea creatures gifted with special fighting abilities and deadly weapons.

To play this game, you’ll need the following materials:

• These rules
• Pens or pencils
• Fishblade Information Sheets for each player or sheets of paper for writing that information down
• Extra paper for jotting down notes
• As many four-sided dice as you can gather
